Clients of Rietumu Banka can make money transfers from their current or card account to any MasterCard or VISA card issued by another bank worldwide, provided that the recipient's bank offers this service. The time it takes to receive the funds depends on the recipient's card-issuing bank and may range from a few minutes to several days.
Unlike standard money transfers, it is not necessary to know the recipient's account number or other additional details. The only required information is the recipient’s card number and the name and surname as shown on the card.
The money will be automatically converted into the currency of the recipient’s card. For example, if the sender transfers funds in euros and the recipient’s card is in US dollars, the recipient will receive the equivalent amount in dollars.
Payments can be made via online banking system, iRietumu, and the service is available to both individuals and legal entities.
The limit for a single payment is EUR 2,000. The monthly limit per recipient is EUR 50,000.
This service is not available for payments to anonymous prepaid cards, gift cards, or commercial cards.
