The meeting will take place in the Estrada restaurant located in the very heart of this resort, opposite the Dzintari Concert Hall. This year it came top of Jurmala restaurants in the Luxury class, which is a rating arranged by the Jurmala Friends Club.
Jurmala Friends Club was established last summer. It is an informal union of new residents of Latvia who have acquired real estate in Riga and Jurmala in recent years or who spend their free time here, bringing their families for recreation. Among them there are many recognised representatives of creative intelligentsia, the artistic environment, outstanding sportsmen and entrepreneurs.
During this time the Club has acquired several thousands of new friends, including residents of Russia and other CIS countries, those who have known and loved Latvia for a long time, and those who are just discovering this European country. And many of those who reside in Latvia, conduct business here or just regularly visit their apartments at the sea have become real friends thanks to the Club, and in some cases they have even become business partners.
“I am very pleased that in a short time our Club has become such a popular platform,” says the founder and the Captain-President of the union, member of the Rietumu Bank Council Alexander Gafin. “When I moved from Moscow to Jurmala, I also lacked live contacts in a friendly circle at first. I am a sociable person and my personal situation has changed quickly. Still, I always visit the virtual page of our Club with pleasure. I am sure that our first general solemn meeting will become a significant event for all our friends and like-minded persons here in Latvia, and such communication will not only be pleasant, but also useful.
The agenda of the Club meeting includes the awarding of active friends of the club with promotional gifts. Also, winners in the rating of Jurmala restaurants and bars, some of them now also owned by expatriates, will receive awards. The rating is conducted by the Club for the second year in succession. And certainly, there will be music, real-life communication and treats from the best luxury restaurant in the famous Latvian resort.
