Rietumu Bank’s Charity Fund has commenced to finance the foundation of a new amusement town of active leisure in Riga, which will be located in the green district of Riga – in Mežaparks. The project is undertaken in collaboration with the Riga City Council and Riga Municipality’s agency “Mežaparks”.
The new amusement town will encompass around forty rides for active leisure and other on-site equipment in the total area of 1,5 ha and serve for the exertion of men’s physical and mental energy. The site will be divided in a number of areas, including areas designed specifically for small children, for gym, etc. Most of the equipment will be made of wood to harmonise with the nature of Mežaparks. Thanks to the engineering idea the children of all ages will enjoy the town together with their parents.
The opening of the new amusement town of active recreation is scheduled for this summer.
